ABOUT ME

I’m a Toronto-based journalist with years of experience covering human rights issues in the Philippines, as well as the outdoor hospitality and outdoor recreation industry in Canada and the United States.

My work spans news and creative writing, interviewing, and digital storytelling. I write both journalistic and creative pieces, conduct interviews for feature articles, and create social media copy and basic visual layouts to support digital content and campaigns.

My love for writing began in school, where I spent my time filling the back pages of my notebooks with poems. An English teacher recognized my potential and encouraged me to pursue writing—a moment that helped shape my path toward journalism.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2019.
